So I finally got around to installing an electric pump. Took a while to decide which one to use and find a day that would be halfway warm. Here it is:

The pump is a Carter GP60504 and a Summit brand pump relay kit. I also used 10ft of convoluted tubing, some zip ties, about 3ft of fuel line, about 6ft of extra wire (relay kit not long enough) and the connectors/hardware that came with the kit and the pump. Took about 5 hours in 40* weather and it was well worth it.

I wouldn't consider the mounting location perfect, but for a long pump with filter it was probably the best spot. I'll probably end up jb welding the bracket because that underbody metal is fairly thin. The bolt that came with the pump didn't have much to bite into, but after some test potholes I am confident it is secure enough.

I need to get another screw in the breaker, but there is room behind that spot for screws. I was using the wrong kind of screws and just got lucky that the first one went in. Messed up the threads on the other one trying to force it to be a sheetmetal screw <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

There are 3 wires from the Mikuni harness that are full voltage ignition. There is another one that is something like 5v ignition. I used one of the others for the electric choke and the pinkish one for the relay, works great.

The Weber likes this pump way better than the mechanical. It runs smooth and doesn't react to slight inclines on the highway near as bad.
