I've running royal purple synthetic & filter in both my Monty and VR4. So far so good but I still wouldn't dare go over 6k! Someone posted 15k above (can't recall who as I'm typing this) but that's insane! Even if they told me it was guaranteed, I still wouldn't. But that's just me

Good chart on anti wear additive levels on Mobil 1. One thing that's important to realize is that its really hard to establish cause and effect. "I changed to this oil and then this happened." On a small sample size without a double blind you don't really know for sure.

Its like the guy whose engine spun a bearing during smog check. He was sure it was out fault, we wrecked his motor!

Turns out is was just about to lose the engine and he came in just at the right time. Not saying things cant happen, but I see conclusions on cause and effect made on some pretty slim data all the time, and in many cases there was no correlation.
