no mikey the center support for the driveshaft there is a donut type bushing that is held in place about midway from the rear of tranny to the rear diff. I don't know it if is there on all the frames or not or just the 2wd, because of the longer driveshaft, thats right that you don't need it if it is a 4wd, but if going to 2wd w/out T/C you need it
