yes I have a 2wd, I am sick, it's snowing again could get another 8 inches, I would think it is a support beam so the truck does not flex, why did u cut your's off ?

Well, I did not do the work...My friend (auto mech) did it and I do believe that it was related to the old 4x2 setup. (

Everet u may have to do this too when you do ur conversion on the 2 door)..

I don't think that the doughnut part is needed at all..For the 4x4.

Looks to me by the position would be for the driveshaft carrier. Maybe they are different for two or four door placement. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

So far i see five different shafts on 01. Between two door two wheel drive, four door auto, or manual, two wheel drive, or two door or four door, four wheel drive. Can see it becomes allittle confusing. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />
