Here's a pic that should shed some light on things.

If you look at the original pics there's about 12" of straight tube at the lower part of each hoop leg, for the purpose of being able to lower the entire cage, after tacked, to weld tops. I'll have to weld in the ceiling triangulation also, while the cage is lowered and tops are accessible. Hope it makes more sense now. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
