I understand the FSM has some testing and removal information for the locker. Mine is not working (did last winter) and I have run into a snag removing it from the rear axle. I found a link online where someone refurbished their locker and figured I needed to do the same. That site referred to the FSM for testing functionality and making sure it was in the correct position after reassembly before installation. I hoped it had removal information as well.
