Where can I find a good quality tarp?
Looking for one to use for an in camp awning. Length: 6-8ft. Width: 5-6ft.
Would like it to easily shed water for occasional use during foul weather. Grommets should be securely fastened as it may be used in windy weather.
Was considering the basic hardware store varieties and even the harbor freight ones but thought I ought to ask first.
TIA.

I've seen some really good ones at Harbor Freight, but I've also seen some really, really bad ones.
The good news is that tarps are so cheap at Harbor Freight that replacing (or buying multiples) is no big deal.

Ray, we've been getting tarps at Home Depot for the last few years. The large tarps that cover the goat pens normally last 2 - 3 years before they're tattered and leaky. I have some smaller tarps that are annuals due to more movement and chafing.

I like the heavy coated fabric ones. They don't make the crinkle crinkle sound like the cheap blue ones. Of course they cost more.

I've been getting the Brown/Silver variety from Lowes. They're thicker than the blue ones. Lasts much longer too.

Todd I finally wore mine out. I bought it at Harbor Freight for less than half what Lowes had it for. That was years ago, though.

If you're going car camping get a canvas one. They are a lot less noisy in windy conditions.
