As you drop pressure, you're going to encounter more problems with a wider wheel compared to your tire size.

This weekend, I was running my 33x12.5's on my above mentioned 7" wheels with no problem at 12 psi, yet Pa_Jero had a leak problem with his 35x12.5's on his 10" steel wheels at 20 psi after one of them bumped a rock and bent his steelie a little. A hammer was brought out to fix it and stop the leak.

I just feel like I can better protect my rim and bead by using a narrower wheel while compensating for the high street pressure-related tread-edge lift by carefully noting the contact patch and adjusting accordingly. I've never popped a bead, by the way, and my tires have always worn normally. I have predictable handling, even in emergency situations. They stand taller...but I guess they just don't look as cool? I dunno...
