Like everyone said, the tranny cooler is a very good idea (Level 10 even better <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> ).
To help the ping, an extra $200 will get you the SS TMC1.1 for low rpm timing retard. If you drive around at part throttle and moderate boost, there will be a noticeable "hunt" or surging, and another $200 will get you a ESC/1. I've got this setup and it's serving me well, but then again, I'm not a throttle-jockey. <img border="0" alt="[Nerd]" title="" src="graemlins/nerd.gif" />
..or the most cost effective would be to pop $600 for the FTC, which allows you to custom tune the fuel/timing map for a "non-modded" S/C, then as funds allow you to increase the fuel delivery, you already have the electronics in place. Of course, then you have so much power the Level 10 tranny upgrade really becomes important. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
You might be able to pick up cheaper used TMC1.1 from the TTORA board as more guys start swapping to the FTC.
