Was climbing a steep muddy hill the other day and put it in 4Lo and it did really nice! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
But I forgot to use this (PWR).... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Does anyone no if there is an actual need for this button??????????

The manual says it raises the transmission shift points so you get higher rpm before shift. I still don't know if it works in lo, i usually shift manually anyway. I imagine sticks don't have this button.

I asked Kia about this button. They said it was initially for a flux capacitor, but that the Sportage was not able to handle the surge, so it just changes the shift points.

2001 5sp. K&N stock filter 215/70/15 If your check engine light is on at least you know the light still works
