If you've ever purchased a new gun recently, the owners manuals are full of about ten thousand different warnings all in bold and bright colors. Warnings are even printed on the guns themselves, which is highly annoying.

But I ran across a warning today, I've never seen before. I just recently picked up a Rossi M92 stainless lever action.

And intermixed with all the other standard warnings was this one....

WARNING: Securing your firearm may inhibit access to it in a defense situation and result in injury or death.

Then right below that was....

WARNING: Failure to secure your firearm may result in injury or death.
