Here's mine. It is SUPPOSED to be a 89 Montero 3.0 5 speed, A/C, tilt, PW, PL, cruise. Badged as a Sport, but from my understanding 89 Sports only came with auto's??

i MIGHT ADD, IT CAME WITH A RECONSTRUCTED TITLE, SO?????? Mitsu ASA shows it with a manual tranny based on that VIN number. Not sure about the other accessories you noted but you can probably check for yourself. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

The 94 will be 3.0 12V SOHC and the 96 3.0 24V DOHC. Those would be for LSs, as indicated.

It would be good if you guys in Africa/Asia/Australia could give us some salvage yard vins.
SWB and diesel info would help with our convertions to diesels, etc.

Curious the build date says March 1997 but the vin says 1998. Is this a 97 or 98?

Per ASA, it's 33rd week of production for model year 97, still making it a 97. Your 10th digit is a V, which is 97. A 10th digit of W would indicate a 98. Learn more about VIN decoding here.
