So I finaly got the engine pulled and it's not siezed, it turns about 6 inches and stops with a clunk, go 6 inches the other way and stops with a clunk again. That a bad thing right? I thought so. Now I am stripping the block of everything I think is unique to the Montero so I can go engine hunting. The place that has 1/2 price Wendsdays needs a core but it doesn't need to be rebuildable. I took off the front cover, all the accessorie brackets, intake manifold, fuel rail, exhaust manifold, motor mounts, all the coolant pipeing and oil filter housing. Is there anything else I need to take off in case I get the engine out of a car?
