Ok, According to the lady that gave me the Montero it's a 94, the vin# is a 95. I am having troubles finding a SOHC 24 valve 3.0, The block is still in good shape so If I find a 12 valve would there be any problems using the crank, rods and pistons in the block I already have? I will have a machine shop check them out. I will post pics of the carnage as soon as I get them on my computer, the #1 rod twisted sideways and the rod cap is lodged in the opposite piston. somehow it didn't hurt the block.

Thanks, Dennis
