People do not realize how much pollution commercial airliners put out. I've heard 10,000 pounds of fuel during a take off.
That sounds a little high to me but half that is still an awe full lot. The day after 911 and the planes were all grounded the skies over Sacramento were pristine.

This something no one wants to talk about.
