Looks good overall. I've thought about what to make if I ever really wheel enough to thrash the stock one. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> I have thought something similar to yours, and also with some sides to box it up, and then a drain hole or two for when it splashed up. I would also maybe "top coat" it with undercoating.
