Toastmaster, I'm soon going to be building a small roll cage for a rig using DOM. DOM has a tensile stregnth of 80000psi. Wire in your welder is most likely 70000 tensile stregnth (that's why its coded as 70s6)

You can buy 80000 tensile stregnth wire for something like 5bucks a pound.

The point of all this is it really nesscessary to use 80000 wire on dom? What's the point of using steel rated that high if your wire isn't as strong?

Id like to hear some input from all you smart fellas
