I can't stand the spray button on Rust-O-Leum. Your finger is gonna get all cramped up, I know mine did. I like Krylon better.

I have two cans of flat black to do your sliders, Dude.

Awesome! yeah the spray button sucks but you just get the little trigger for it and it's all good. I like Krylon better.

This is just FYI but, there is a big difference in the make up between Krylon and Rusto. Krylon is solvent based and dries very quickly, which makes it very easy to use (less drying time between coats. Rusto uses an oil type base which takes much longer to dry. Ive found Rusto to be much more durable and fade resistant compared to kylon...with both being far superior to the cheap Walmart junk in the blue can. So its a trade off.

I like the round HLs. Where'd they come from and how much, if I may ask? You should be able to put some "screened" light protectors over them.

Ahh thats a good question Toasty. That depends on a few things. Weather or not I retire at the end of this year or decide to stick it out two more years, and of course right now probably not the optimum time to sell my house.

Still plan to wheel out there with you guys this fall/winter possibly.

Toastmaster, I'm soon going to be building a small roll cage for a rig using DOM. DOM has a tensile stregnth of 80000psi. Wire in your welder is most likely 70000 tensile stregnth (that's why its coded as 70s6)

You can buy 80000 tensile stregnth wire for something like 5bucks a pound.

The point of all this is it really nesscessary to use 80000 wire on dom? What's the point of using steel rated that high if your wire isn't as strong?

Id like to hear some input from all you smart fellas

Thanks guys, and we'll be looking foward to wheeling with you Justice <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

The head lamp bezels came from a 2 door gen 2 and i bought them on ebay.co/uk for 40$ shipped.

As for tubing, you want DOM because it won't bend as easy and takes impact better. You can use regular hardwire (lincoln L56 commonly) just do a good gob welding and there is a science to where you want your joints. Read up on roll cages you'll learn a lot. If you want to be really badass use 71M for building your cage, it's way stronger than that standard wire and won't splatter all over your tube. Plus it's really smooth when done correctly and that translates into extra strength because you won't have any ripple for cracks to start from.

Here's the 2.4 going in for the test fit and motor mount adapting. I'm gonna run this setup until i can build a EVO 2.0 to replace it. [Linked Image] [Linked Image]

This motor is a great idea for 2.6 guys looking to get away from carbs. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
