I was thinking the same thing. You definitely do not need to worry abut a slim-fit electric fan. you bought can fit a box fan in that hole. Looks good. I am guessing you are not having any issues with the oil pan either. no monkeys here beating you with a stick.

I'm using a Volvo big rig electric fan, it's almost exactly the right size. There would normally be an issue with the oil pan since this engine came from a pickup but since i'm adapting the 4 cylinder to mount on the v6 mounting pads the engine sits up 7/8" higher and clears the pan.

Little update, Parts are starting to come in! I got the headlamp buckets from rxinhed, the jeep windshield channel will be here this week, the flexplate bolts and shim are in Gorgia and TayJ is donating some steel for my shock towers and more supports for the flatbed. The parts in Gorgia will ship when the adapter and flexplate arrive, These parts are the main thing i need. Originally i had made a flex plate out of a 2wd 2.4 plate and a 4wd 2.6 plate, but that was a no go because i still needed the adapter to make it the right spacing for the montero bellhousing. I could have made it work but i figured since I have to wait for the adapter to come from Japan I might as well buy all the parts for a Pajero with 2.4L and AW2 combo. The interior is all back together and the soft top will go on this week when that jeep part comes in. Now that monty pics works again maybe i'll post some updated pics of the progress.

Why did you decide to go with the round head lights? Cheaper replacements?

yup, and one of my original lights had a hole in it so it would fill with water. Plus round headlights are badass on Gen 2's and the whole setup cost me maybe $40 and that's probably the minimum of what it would have cost for a new gen 2 headlamp housing.

I still need to weld on some 1/4" D rings farther back on the side rails of the flat bed so i can pull the top tight right now its kinda just loosely tied down to the middle bar. I might add a bolt on roll bar on the back section so i can have the option for a full top if i want.

Yea....if I ever break one of mine I'll probably do the same thing.

That thing look sick!

How does it handle/feel with all that weight gone? You had to have gotten some lift out of the stock rear springs too huh?

When you drive it, I'd be interested in hearing how it handles.

I drove it a few times before i pulled the 3.0, It rides pretty stiff and those coils are not compressed anymore. I have a set of Gen 1 SWB coils i will put in if it is still rides like this once everything is done. The SWB coils are taller but softer so i think they'll be perfect for this setup.
