Need a Spot
I picked up a "ping" that seemed to be in the head. It really really seems to be in the head. It started suddenly when the engine shifted off of overdrive when going up a hill on the interstate. I just replaced all of the VLAs, the old ones weren't in good shape, all of the VLAs on the passenger side were hammered. I thought that I had found my problem. I need to idle a little more just incase I didn't get them primed all the way but...I think something else is dun busted. I can't hardly diagnose anything, I can just take it all apart and put it back together again. Any next thoughts? Thanks

Give the new ones more time to pump up. Did you do the revving procedure?

That is what I hope. Now my shameful truth: I shorted something out. Right after all of the rough start grumbles started to smooth out it died suddently. In my haste I left the big ground wire on top of the intake off. I bolted it down and still nothing. Found a cooked 20A fuse under the hood, replaced it, cooked again as soon as I turned it over again. I haven't looked into it enough yet, all I find in my book is an arrow to the fuse and the title "dedicated fuse". I am in way way over my head once it comes to electrical, but, I haven't looked into it much yet. Hope in one hand and well, you know what happens in the other. I'm sad, I just want my fun car back!!
