Welcome aboard! Ding-Ding .... Ding-Ding ....This is starting to look like a Navy reunion..

Also a licensed ham, so looking forward to your ideas and thoughts on that subject.

My Navy time was during the Vietnam era. One of the things I still have fond memories was the hands on opportunities with all the the radar, comm, avionics and ECM gear of the time. Great memories of the times in Long Beach and San Diego (my home port towns).

I always thought Navy folks got their grease requirement from the diesel mixed in with the coffee :<)

So, are most of us hams or are we just mostly hams?

Judging from this thread, I'd say you're ALL certified hams... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Collaborative processes...challenging is right. I ALWAYS hate the "partner up and do this project" part of school. Inevitably, I end up with something in the end that I didn't really want, or I end up doing the whole thing myself. BAH, I say! I'm glad to hear you get to enjoy cold beer, though. After my exam on Thursday, I'll be ready for a couple, too. I'm my daily right now, though. Today, it's a New Belgium 1554, and I LIKE it!

Hey John, quick question...can calendar events be added by any member on the site calendar, or is that a staff function? I just want to be sure before I start promoting its use by other members...

Additions to the calendar have been a moderator/administrator function. If you want to push its use, I have no problem with trying it to see how it works.

We do have a calendar function on the portal side that I have been playing with. But, it is not the easiest to load with information.

I opened the forum calendar to registered users for additions. Try it.
