The vacuum line which feeds the heater controls under the dash in broken where it goes through the firewall. Is it possible to get to it without removing the A/C unit and/or the heater core?

(This is on a '91 Trooper).

I think you can access it by removing the glove compartment box.

Buy a Trooper. You'll be glad you did.

Where it "goes through the firewall" should be a double nippled fitting. The line under the hood attaches to one end and the line in the cabin attaches to the other end. That's how it is on my 89 anyhow.

Well, a couple of good suggestions, but neither panned out. The line runs (ran) through the same hole as the air conditioner pressure side line rather than using a bulkhead fitting. On the inside, I pulled the glove box, but the fitting comes into the cab behind the a/c unit.

I am going wheeling this weekend, so I am not going to worry about it for now.
