On a 92 with the 12v v6, there are two diagnostic connectors under the driver's dash, left side. One (the left one) has offset rounded ends, and the right one has square ends. Connect the light/voltmeter to either of the top center connections on the rounded end connector (grounds) and to the upper leftmost connector on the square end connector, and switch on the ignition. The codes should be output, if any.

Sorry, I didn't realize you had a 92. Was that in your signature before?

Good luck.

Hmmm. My 92-95 manual says they are on the footwell sidewall, just above the bottom edge of the dash, but the hand drawn diagrams aren't all that clear. If you have a diagnostic connector behind the glove box, the two terminals are upper right and lower left, catch at the top.

ISC? isent that the IAC what you are talking. to the left of below the bore. using a drill bit? I dont remember reading the. a feeler gage and set the tps to the point of continunity. where is the drill bit used? I have a otc scanner it has no codes. I go to try to use the diagnostic and it shows nothing. and I dont know why!!! but still reads no codes.

Not clear what you mean in the first few sentences. But regardless it's not clear if you've actually checked the ISC (aka IAC) yet.

If you haven't, you should. It functions as a choke when the engine is cold and if it's not working properly your engine will run like crap until it warms up.

The Factory Service Manual has the procedure to test it (you have downloaded that right?) All you need is an ohm meter / multimeter for the test.
