Don't get longer than recommended. Augie had longer ones and that just made problems for the coil staying set. The bags add rigidity/lift from the walls of the bag anyway - not the top/bottom. The Gen2's are shorter but the spring rate is higher - go with what AirLift recommends.

I can't find my part number right now... but I did order the normal height set. They came with a spacer (instructions said it was for the Cherokee (?) application, which used the same bag ...think it was a Cherokee?). I used the spacer, which was just the ticket with my coil spacer.

I didn't bother with the spacer. Just stuffed them in the coils I also added a 1/4" ball valve between the bags so I could have air transferring from one side to the other when off road. However, these days I leave them empty until I need them for carrying a load. My truck, like so many on here, is used for many different things

I had bags in my Raider, I liked them. I have gen2 coils in my black Gen1 now. I like those better. I have valley coils and bags on my Gen2. I like the gen1 with gen2 springs better. If I carried a lot of stuff a lot I would put bags in the gen1.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

I usually have at least 80lbs of stuff in the back anyway and I can easily have over 200 if I'm actually hauling things plus I do tow fairly often and just hate it because it's always practically sitting on the bumpstop.

The reason I was looking at the slightly longer ones was because not only do I want to get it back up to stock height, I'd also like to gain an inch or two so it sits level with the front. If I did go with the longer bags couldn't I just use a lower pressure it it turns out it's too high?

well they came in yesterday and I've got them installed. Right now they're hooked up together w a T connector so you fill them both at the same time, this way it can flex off road. I was reading in another post that someone installed a valve where you can switch between open and closed, but when it's closed it lets the pressure equalized before it locks.
Anyone have a link for one of these, doesn't need to be electric, I don't mind getting out to switch it. Basicly I want it locked on road and open off road.

Anyway, I did buy the longer bags and I'm glad I did, for me they seem to be perfect. When pumped to 35 psi the back end is a little taller than the front even w the tbars cranked(looks pretty cool). Also you can put as much weight as you want back there and it doesn't sag.
Overall it was a great $75 investment. Also I installed the filler valve inside the gas tank door so it's easy to get to but still covered up.

Where'd you find it for only $70 and did that also include a compressor?

bought it through amazon.com for $75. No compressor I installed the fitting behind the fuel door and just fill it with a tire pump.
