Mitsu lifted the body about an ich or so to fit this trans in the 94 and up DOHC's. You'll also have to figure out the electrical circuit. The hold/normal/power modes. So the wire harnesses are different? I'm not sure about the electrical circuit. what are the hold/normal/power modes?
