Real guns are made out of metal, as God and John Moses Browning intended them to be. This concept was amended to include alloy frames at a later date. Polymer was not included as it had not been invented then.

Body Damage is Cool
Fasteddy, S&W did indeed make .41 mags with 4" barrels, model #57, #58, and #657. Here are mine.

Try Sullivan's Classic Arms in Cumming, GA for those Springfields. Franklin's Sports in Athens had two Gyrojet pistols in the box with a few rounds of ammo three months ago when I was last there. John's Gun & Pawn in Clayton, GA has several Winchester #12 shotguns, might have the 3" magnum you want.

This isn't my photo, but I like it. Factory nickel S&W #58 .41 magnum.

Nice wishlist Eddy.

"AR-15 with gear shift"..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> You mean selectable huh? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Gyrojets are so rare I'd imagine ammo(rockets) for them is ridiculously expensive if you can even find it.

"drum fed street sweepers"..... AHHHH...you want the Atchison automatic then <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

And on further thought, I'd rather have a mini-14 than an ar15. Yes, ammo is increasingly rare for the gyrojet, and the later stuff has a lot of misfires and funky accuracy, but they are ultra cool buck rogers stuff...

It seems like the propellant would blow back into your face. I've never seen one fired so I don't really know too much about them.

Cool idea though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I've actually fired one, back about 1970. About as accurate as a well thrown baseball. Firing at night looks like a tracer round. The back blast vents out the holes in the side of the barrel. Once clear of the barrel, you get a puff of hot gas in the face, but not bad.

I always wanted somebody to use the gyrojet projectile on top of a std. brass case with a fairly light propellant load fired from a rifled barrel. The ballistics would be a mite hairy...
