you gotcha.

are photos of a NEW unit. these are $3500, shipping and duty not included. USED are $1800 a piece-not inlcuding shiipping and duty. figure %10 of invoice for duty and taxes, maybe less- and shipping for up to 3 engines on a pallet is $500. you can buy one, or three, and shipping is the same.
heres an excerpt from the engine import/exporters:

All diesel engines are run and tested in our workshop. The following three tests are completed on each engine:

1. Fume Test
2. Oil Pressure Test
3. Water Pressure Test

All engines are run with water getting them to normal operating temperature, helping us to determine their condition. Only engines that pass these tests are made ready for sale.

All second hand diesel engines carry a 60 day unlimited kms warranty and carry a full parts and labour guarantee, subject to Engine Imports' Sale Conditions.

The main reason for these tests is to be able to supply a Quality Second Hand Diesel Engine for sale.

~ anyways, i should have some photos of the used units soon, ill post them as soon as possible, as well as mileage and more info-if possible.

Sorry it's not Mitsu related, but can you get your hands on an Isuzu 4JB1?

Looking for a cheaper price than the 3k I was quoted for a brand new one..

glad you asked! i posted it over here because i need to replace a 4d55 for a friend, but actually i can get half cuts of 4d56t 4jb1t 4jg2t and toyota 2lt 2lte 1kz and 3b. the more orders we fill, the cheaper it will be for everyone. although, 3k for a brand new 4jb1 wouldnt be too bad.the ones i can find are used, but should be significantly cheaper than your new one. and you get the transmission!

That does not look like a 4D56, but rather a D4B(F,H) which is manufactured by Huyndai. I recognize it by the hump on the valve cover.

Not that this is anything bad, just commenting.

ill contact you as soon as i hear back from the 2 suppliers i am dealing with. i can get either half cuts, or just engine tranny combo. one of the suppliers will only sell in bulk, so half cuts are better since they take up more space in the container. but they are also more $. waiting to hear from another supplier with more competitive rates and ill call you with the details. and not to be a bummer, but the pictures i posted look exactly like the 4d56t i put in last spring, only new, obviously. the deal for those 2 4d56t brand spankin' new-is $3500 each, and $500 to ship. maybe someone wants em, PM me and ill pass on the info. other than that, i am aiming for used, cause they are less than half of that, with tranny.

Bellaversus - is this true?

What are the differences in a motor manufactured by Hyundai vs. Mitsubishi? Any build quality changes or potential parts issues?
