Yeah, I noticed that the other day.

As a Subaru guy, I also knew exactly what you were refering to when I read the title. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

For the record, thier safety reputation is well earned. Even back in the early '90s folks have been walking away from wrecks that would put Toyota or Honda drivers in the hospital.

I've been catching up on 7 years worth of reading here on the 'wire, and from a few of the pics I've seen it looks like the Monties do pretty well in that regard also.

Oh, I love my Subaru, its tough as nails too. Got rear ended and it just scuffed up the rear bumper and messed up the rear latch. I do firmly believe if my Montero or Raider hit my Outback it would permanently be placed in a wrecker yard while the Montero would be driving around looking for trails to ride on. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I saw that.....I think it is a Mazda MPV van though. Notice the sliding rear door and rear leaf springs. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
