Ok tuesday I am finishing my gear swap and I am going with lockouts on the front....Mine is a 87 ram 50 and the hubs are on a....I would say between an 83 and 86 just want to be sure b4 I buy them


1987 Dodge Ram 50
2.6 5 speed
2 inch body lift 31x11.50 Swamper LTBs
4.62 gears lsd rear and welded front with lockouts
Weber carb waiting to be installed

The 4wd drive hubs are the same for the Monteros, at least, from 1983 to 1991. The Gen II Montero spindle may be different, but I wouldn't know that because I don't have any. However, the only difference in the Gen I Montero parts that mount to the hub are the brake disc for 4-cyl (early) and 4-cyl (late)/V6. You're probably not at risk mixing pickup parts around, but be aware of the disc diameter as the trucks received the larger rotors earlier.

I can confirm first hand that the hubs will fit up to at least 94 (and later): I put Aisin's on my genII. They fit. AFAIK Mitsu used the same hub from the beginning, until the genIII when they were no longer usable. So you should be good to go.

Same Aisin manual hubs fit my '87 as my '95. It's what they come off of that is the question, if you're not buying new ones.

yes...the Aisin Manual hubs will fit all GEN II trucks up to 2000.
