Good stuff Eddy.

There were a lot of snotty rich kids where I went to high school. After school one day on the bus this rich white kid made a racist remark (monkey) to a black girl that was a guest student from a school in the hood.....Holly crap did she snap. She was quick too...by the time anybody really knew what was happening she had his hair in one hand and blasting him in the face with her right. In no time at all this dude had a bloody face and a ceramic pot (from ceramics class) busted over his head....all because he thought he could get away with dehumanizing a young girl It was a lesson he needed to learn.

Actually, IIRC, I had the Byrds doin' "8 Miles High" on the 8track, 'cause somebody had kicked it and it wouldn't eject, and our local radio really sucked. We had WOWL (guess the mascot of that station) on which my father in law to be did the fishing report every morning and read the Sunday comics over the radio on Saturday. They had a big billboard about halfway up Court Street hill of a big old metal owl with one red eye and one green eye. Red eye meant a traffic fatality or fisherman drowning in the last 24 hours.

That was during my country/bluegrass music hiatus.

Damn Eddy. Bout pee'd myself. Went out on the porch and was still laughing. Lisa asked what was so damn funny. I told her I'd have to read it to her cause I'd screw it up in the retelling. And so I did. And she howled, which got the boy's attention. And then they wanted to hear what "Uncle" Eddy had said. They laughed too. Thanks for the hee haw...

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

One last one.

I was a cheerleader in college (by accident), and by the luck of the draw, I got Gloria for a partner. Gloria was 4'22" tall, weighed 145lbs, and had been a competitive swimmer for 12years in a league where you were expected to perform seppuku if you lost a heat in a meet. Our arch rival was Jacksonville State in AL, and we were there for a midweek basketball game, so our only troops were the team and the cheerleaders, or about 18 of us, total. We had been drunkenly clever and had sawn some wooden axes out of 1" plywood, painted them purple and gold, and letteres "Ax Jaxasses" on them. The local Jax St. drunks decided they were gonna take them away from the pansy cheerleaders. Gloria decked at least 10 of the Jaxasses with hers. We lost the fight, won the1game, kept the axes, and painted their team and cheerleaders and bus with purple and gold paint at our home game turn later that season. And won that fight...
