He has an a/t. The km148 is supposed to handle 300ftlbs of torque. I think the 4.3 has a lot less than that, like 225ish ftlbs.

He said its a standard on both 4.3 and 2.6.

AFAIK no body has used the standard nv3500

You will have to use a s10/blazer transfercase(np231 manual/np233 electric), a jeep np231 will not work

No, no, I can't be wrong. He must be wrong about what he has. It was Curtis's fault - he said km148. Mudraider posted right after his post and has an a/t listed in his sig line, so it was partially his fault. And it's not pc to tell the old guy he's wrong, 'cause it raises his blood pressure and makes the old weak blood vessels go pop pop pop, so you are wrong, too, and it wasn't me, 'cause I wasn't even there, and it's racial discrimination, 'cause I'm a honky and can't dance or make obscene rhymes...

Forget the stock tranny. Nobody makes a custom bellhousing adapter, and it's easier to make a tranny mount than to make a bellhousing adapter by several orders of magnitude.

Kary did his with the NV3500. He said it was a major PITA. with custom shifter housings, and joints, and whatnot. He said it was very difficult.
