i had the same issue when I bought my montero, did the research and finally call mitsubushi international, registered my montero to my name and they gave me the code free. but I have also found that I have a 97 montero XLS that I am rebuilding and the code is the same 3550 you might try it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
