PD- really, that's great ya got 'er squared away. If the idle wasn't going to behave, then I would've suggested checking the o-ring on the idle screw, as it'll act strange when those rot out.

Glowing exhaust, IIRC if it's too far advanced/running too rich, she'll glow.
