Yes, I could see switching to the G2 trans being a bit more difficult without all the supporting G2 wiring...but not impossible. If you still want to go down that road, I'd be more than happy to help you sort out what needs to be done. Also, if you have a G2 shifter, using the cable shift assembly should be pretty easy.

My build has been pretty slow going...this year in general has been a lot busier for me at work, and there seems to have been a steady flow of other vehicular projects to keep me sidetracked...including 2 other monteros.

But, it's odd this thread got bumped today, because I made more progress today than I had in quite a while.

I've got most of the wiring done and am pretty close to connecting a battery, and starting to verify that everything works. One thing I'd been dragging my feet on was the physical mounting of some of the electrical components...fuse box, relays, etc... But now that is done, and I can finalize the routing of the wiring harnesses.
