Sorry, Ray. This is a coming reality. Leaving human waste is becoming a bigger issue by the day. The operative phrase is: Tread Lightly and Pack it out, pack ALL of it out.

The Rubicon is the focal point in a effort to save access. If human waste disposal is not solved in a manner that protects health of the watershed, drastic measures will be taken.

The Friends of the Rubicon and Rubicon Trail Foundation have worked long and hard to achieve workable solutions. They want the trail open. The white flower campaign is the latest attempt to get a handle of a real problem that needs a solution.

BTW, there are solutions to making the human waste "dumpster safe".

I have tried them; actually, I use them.
