Off-roader, I have a box of small gussets in my garage if you want to grab a few before the trip and weld them on. I am only 20 minutes from you.

The gussets have to be custom cut. The legs of the skids are not perpendicular to the frame. That's why I didn't use the gussets that came with the brackets.

Ray,
Let's firm up the plans for meeting points and times. Directions for the meeting points would probably be good too. It's been a long time since I've been up there so I'm not sure where exactly we want to meet up.

So is everyone still up for the run this weekend?

It sounds like we're doing Corral Hollow, Slick Rock, Deer Valley, & Strawberry Creek. In that order I assume? Makes sense if we do.

As for possible attendees, I have... myself aka (ray), Kirk, sewerrat (bob), 4xmonty (russell), Cambo (cameron?), BlossomCA (joanna), cap510 (carlos), & sewerrat (bob).

Who's definitely going? Anyone other than whom I've mentioned above? Oleg maybe? Lloyd? Santa Clause?

Also, I know everyone's cell number except Cameron. If you are going Cameron, can you please send me your number via a pm?

If I show up 2 times, I hope someone has a camera! Looks like I'll be leaving from Santa Rosa after 6:00pm Fri.

How about fire/stove permits?

PM on the way. I will only be able to make it for saturday though. What time did you guys want to start Slickrock? I can be there early, but did you guys want to do Slickrock North to South or South to North? North to South means you have to do the one hard obstacle, which is fun. South to North in my opinion is easier, with no major obstacle. Let me know!!

Cameron,
I never did get your PM. Can you check if you sent it?

I'm thinking of hitting the trail right after breakfast. Say -:30-10:00am'ish.

We can decide the route/direction for the slick rock trail there if we can't come to a consensus here. I say the quicker the better since IMHO the bigger obstacles will be on Deer Valley and not so much Slickrock trail.

Also I think the number of trails we'll do is directly dependent on how far we get but I think that goes without saying.

Does anyone need the gps coordinates or trail descriptions? If so, I found trail descriptions on CaliforniaJeeper.com and 4x4Trailmaps.com

Slick Rock
Deer Valley
Strawberry on 4x4Trailmaps.com

The only reason I was thinking of Corral Hollow was to stay at the cabin, if we can get it. However it's in the middle of the trail so we'd have to drive in at night then be out early to meet up at slick rock. Maybe we want to camp at the slickrock trail head and skip coral hollow or camp at corral hollow and skip slick rock. opinions?
Russell? are you there?

Ray-I will send another Pm, please send me your cell number also. And was that 930 -10ish? The first number was cut out.

As far as camping, I think you guys may just want to camp at the Slick Rock trail head. If the cabin is taken you will have to pitch tents anyway, and chances are even if the cabin is available not everyone will fit. Plus, is everyone going to arrive around the same time? Probably gonna be some stragglers and the middle of the trail is harder to find then the trailhead at night.

Ok, looks like we've got Cambo (Cameron), Kirk (Kirk), myself (Ray), & sewerrat (Bob) going.

4xmonty (Russell), haven't heard from you yet so I'll take it you're not going?

Cameron, I sent you a PM with my cell number. I'll also ring each of you later today.

As for meetup spots, Kirk suggested we should meet up at the trailhead of Slickrock trail.

My question is, which direction are we going to run it? We can run it N->S or S->N. My suggestion is S->N which will help bring us as close as possible to the Deer Valley trail afterwards. Otherwise, we'll have to drive a ways to get to the Deer Valley Trail.

Let me know what you all think.

S to N sounds good, we will be going down the main obstacle, but we will have steep climbs on the slickrock which will be fun. I am really looking forward to this trip, Slickrock will be a nice warm up for Deer Valley.
