Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well, after the last time I went wheeling, and accidently flooded my interior, I decided it was time to upgrade the intake a bit, to avoid the all too possible engine damage from hydrolocking. So after about a month of planning and gathering parts, this is what I came up with.

Here's the under hood, the air box is off of an SN95 mustang.

And the tube connecting the snorkel to the airbox. (This shot is from on top of the tire looking at the inner fender.)

Total cost: $38.35 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Very nice! Wouldn't mind doing that myself. List of components?

My next project is going to be to relocate the ECU from out of the passenger footwell. I work at a wire harness shop, so plan on using some nice watertight connectors to extend the harness.

GONE, all I have left are a few spare parts and the wheels.

Body Damage is Cool
Could you explain how you did the bends and what size tubing you used. Looks good how it follows the fender and up the windshield.

Yeah, it looks like some sort of metal. I'm curious about the size as mine in 2 inch pvc and i have a cap drilled with holes pointing downward. It looks like yours has a screen in it. Thanks for any info.

Yeah, the tube is exhaust tubing scavenged off of various vehicles, all 2 1/4". There are actually I think eight different cuts in the pipe that have been welded together, then the welds ground down to make it more presentable. The pipe "topper" is the screen off of a mass air flow shoved over the pipe, with a gauge bezel put on backwards to give it a cleaner appearance.
