Maybe he's refering to the new forum members and how they are beat upon when they ask a question that "they should have use the search function" for. I see this type of abuse alot here.

Getting the Wheeling Fever

I think the analogy is more about first hand knowledge versus second hand knowledge. The first group of monkeys knew they'd be sprayed, the second group just knew climbing was bad. It's the same thing as someone having unsuccessfully attempted something, knowing all the reasons something didn't work out, and telling others why, versus someone that just "heard" something won't work telling others not to attempt.
If I (the monkey) had listened to others (received a FIGURATIVE beating) I wouldn't have even bothered to attempt my swap (climb the ladder). But I'm almost to the bananas...and without anyone getting sprayed.
I'm not saying anyone actively discouraged the attempt, but overall the impression I would get is that it couldn't be done.

what happens if a monkey does get a banana?
or they tried to get the banana so many times they drowned in all the water?

I sprayed myself a few times, but I'm eating some tasty bananas now.
But then, I don't have one of those Mitsubishis...... mine's a Dodge Raider - and we know those are built better.

I just had an ah ha moment after reading srtnate's comment and that makes sense to me. And then I read Frank's comment and realized that I also have a Raider, so this doesn't apply to me at all

Justice, nicely put!,I may not have all the Fab knowledge, but as a part of this Mitsu family, it is out there for us to use and learn from and make use there of.we all learn from trial and error, so lets just have some fun and Modify or Fab it and live it
