After several failed attempts at the small window on the rear passenger side door, it didn't take long for me to figure out that this job is not for me...Maybe I'll try again after I finish the timing belt.

When it's done right, man, does it look great. I had my black Raider done when I was still driving it over 6 years ago, and it has sat uncovered in the AZ sun every day since then. It still looks perfect (provided it's clean, of course). Worth every bit of...what did you say your quote was again...$250-ish?

FWIW, IMHO, YMMV.

+1.

Clean it 55 millions times, using a different razor blade each time. Use only the purest water from the highest peaks of France to spray the tint and film with.

Then...end up getting miffed and pay a pro to do it after you just dumped $30 in Autozone tint and $400 on razor blades.

Really though- have a pro do it. Most offer crazy warranties as long as you don't clean it with ammonia based cleaners (turns film purple and can degrade adhesive over time).

I did some precut tint from eBay on a friend's truck...went on great due to the plotter cuts...but its cheaper tint and you can tell from the feel and how easy it isn't to work with.

I just had a '90 Ford Country Squire Wagon (yeah, I know...) done, with 9 windows total, and with the best tint the shop carries.
$209.00 out the door, w/ a lifetime warranty.

No, I won't be driving this car the rest of my life!

Not to get off-topic, (too late...) but I bought this from an elderly gentleman in Sedona AZ. He had paperwork dating to BEFORE he bought it. The order forms you fill out, the original window sticker, TONS of documents that he kept.
It only has 104K mi. runs like a top, the interior is like new, has a factory moon-roof, new brakes, michelins, exhaust, and 134 A/C.
He called me a week after I bought it, and asked how she was doing!
The car is either loved, or the eye roll takes place.. I'm enjoying cruising it to work for now.

Perfect, Paul.

Slap a Monte3 sticker on it and call it good to go.
