You have to take it off the get the lower timing belt cover off to replace the timing belt. It's easy to get off. Just use a half inch breaker bar and rest it on the frame rail and do a light bump on the starter, and it comes loose. Torqing it back down requires some way to hold the pulley/crank still while you honk on the wrench, or cheat and bash the tightening wrench with a dead blow hammer.
