The GenII console is a common 12V heater/cooler here - about $35AUD. The tray it sits in is mostly plywood. The portion that surrounds the emergency brake is original. The MMC console came from a local junkyard here (Australia) that I cut down.

I kept the original console. The government here does not believe in private property. Modifications are frowned on. For example, my SWB here has two side by side fold up seats in the back. I've removed one, which is illegal unless I get an engineering certificate to prove the mod is okay. When I sell this one, I'll have to undo my modifications. 1984!

Oh, thanks again for the pix tutorial.

I do not have pictures yet and I still have some work to get it finished, but I have something thats going to work well. It is baically a different pop out cup holder set up like the one I pictured before but slimer to fit to the size of the arm rest and has 2 cup holders that can hold up to a 20 ou bottle drink so it wont hard large fast food drinks, but better than nothing. i will get this one built and see what you think.

The console looks great ! I like that parking brake on the wrong side thing you've got going! The glove box where the steering wheel should be seems a bit odd though. Can I call you "Toe Cutter"?

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Cup Holder? I don't need no stinking Cup Holder!..... Sorry I couldn't resist. I had a little extra cash a while back so I went crazy and got 2 of those annoying hanging off the window contraptions. The truck is so narrow I can use the passenger side window to hold the cup!

Where did you get the slimmer drink holder? I grabed the dash mount holder from a Sport(i think) and was going to see if i can make that work somehow in the dash, but have not got to it yet.

Well I was helping my friend out with his Cherokee. He gave me his cupholder. It is a factory option that hooks to the side of the center console. You have to do a little bit of trimming but it fits great. I have some pictures of what to trim. I should have taken a picture before I started, but its not hard.

I am still working on my pop out cupholder. I had some trouble making the box and my dad is a fabricator and decided to take care of that part.
