I have a ten inch lift for Monteros too.
I only want a thousand bucks for mine because I made it out of recycled lumber. Ships in ten days. If you use 12 monster energy drink cans as a bodylift it would be about 10", I bet you could install it in 5 minutes after drinking 12 of them too Welp, what did he say what the steering? I'd like to see that, along with some better pics of the actual drop bracket.

This tread is a perfect example why I don't get on here very much anymore. There's a lot of awesome people on here but it seems like someone or several people on here try to bring people down. Some of the questions and concerns for the lift are legitimate but maybe should have been worded a little different. Also, a lot of people wonder why there's no aftermarket for our trucks...

Hey, guys: Have an "energy drink summit" (or beer summit) and relax. Opinions are like a piece of anatomy -- every one has one and some have an odor. An option was provided. Help the guy out and provide substantive feedback on why (or why not) the idea has merit. If you want aftermarket products for your vehicles, work with the potential suppliers to develop the market. This forum exists to share ideas. Keep in mind Sandbox 101 - http://www.peace.ca/kindergarten.htm

as for the other 9 lifts that i have right now Being busy with work I missed all this. There were very justified concerns posted here. A quick look at the pictures makes it clear he does not have 9 other lifts. I say that since if he had ever done any lift kit before he would have "had a plan" Things like steering linkage and torsion bar / coilover decisions would have been thought out long before the first metal was cut. The position of the upper control arm inner pivot is clear this was welded as you go and never drawn up before hand. This was a grand idea but now it is time to figure out how to get that thing off the lift and roll it around, the chance of ever making that drive is remote.

To make this thread a little more positive. I think a IFS eliminator kit would be a better idea. I see alot of Toyota premade kits to do a SAS on several 4x4 sites. I can't afford it now, but if it was an option in the future for a kit I would probably go for it on both my rigs. Image of a Toyota kit. Pretty nice and for $1100 it would be a much smarter investment. ![[Linked Image]](http://store.4wheelingplus.com/images/TG-ifs-eliminator.jpg)

We already know why we dont have a large aftermarket, 12* people own Monteros and even less wheel them. Toyota, Jeep, Dodge, whatever else sold a metric butt load more than Mitsu did. Even if he did have a good 4 inch kit how many would he have sold here for $however much? I would go the Justice and AZ crew route. They seem to do pretty well. * Not actual sales figures.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

And those SAS kits are pretty universal, In short you could use a kit for a nissan (driver drop) and it will work. As for aftermarket we have lockers, crawler gears and enough lift for 38's what more do you really need?

ARB has a rear locker, you can get crawler gears from Marks, but what's the point when you can only run 31" tires with the torsion bars cranked and a body lift. There are no bumpers but the ARB 86-95 bull bar fits pretty well with a few mods to the mounting brackets. It's too bad John Baker stepped away from racing and producing Mitsubishi aftermarket parts, because I feel if he was still racing, we would have more aftermarket options.

Back from the dead.
Womdering if anyone ever contacted this guy and if a smaller 4"-6" drop kit wouldve made it easier to fab & more affordable.
I'm still interested considering he went further than most shops or individuals. Inspire!
