Wow, those rims look just like mine! I had my tires off when I painted my rims though. What paint did you use? They literally look just like mine! Good choice ! Can't wait till I lift mine.. I got the rear rav4 shocks and tj springs. Just need the money for front lift kit and then I go to work on mine. MAYBE I can lift it this year before the snow comes.. I hope.

very nice!

May i ask how you painted the wheels? was it a professional job at a bodyshop - or a simple job with some spray paint from home depot? (looks great anyway).

Im asking because i was thinking about spray painting my wheels, but i was told that the paint will peel off after a few months.

Was wheel paint from Canadian Tire. I know it will get scratched off in time, but unless you have the money to spend to get it done professionally, 20 bucks for a couple cans of spray paint sounds good to me. Plus I can touch them up when it does start to do that....lol

I spent a lot of time on the wheels...wire brushed the rims with a drill to get all that rust off. Taping the tires up carefully so the paint would not get on the rubber. Finally the paint.
I certainly like the way they/it looks now.

Ya, I too prefer the cheap paint method.. powdercoat may be tougher, but you'll be P.O.'ed when they still scratch. Be carefull when installing/removing lugnuts as the socket will likely be deep enough to bottom out and spin directly on the face of the rim around the lugnut.. Anyway, Looks Fantastic! Keep postin' them pics!

Edit: HEY you're not too far from me.. only a days drive, lol. I want to get a winter drive planned up this year maybe. There's another member I haven't seen on here in a while (londart) has a lifted Sportage and he lives in the same city as me in Cda, Idaho! I know another guy with a OE sportage with 215's and he might want to do some winter trailing too. What'ya think? I want alot of snow like we had the winter before last.. the town was shut down that day, and I was out in it lovin' it up! I don't go muddin, I go Snuddin!
