Since i don't have a Gen 2, or for that matter, a Gen 3 anymore, I'll propose this:
If you guy's can figure out if Gen 3 mirrors will fit/ work on a Gen 2, I'll make you a great deal on a pair of Gen 3 mirror's. (great shape...)
I purchased them, and a few other things from the guy that totaled his Gen 3 some months back.

Nobody I know. Who in the HE!! posts an ad for a 1996 Montero for sale for $800 with a picture of the truck when it was new? "Obviously" it doesn't look like that now.
