I've run 10" wide rims with 33x12.5 all terrains with no problems. My preference after using various rims is the 8" to 8.5" fronts that keep the tires within approximately 1" of the outside fenderwell. When I ran the 10s, the front tires were very exposed, threw lots of mud and rocks, and may have attracted undue officer observation. For my last set of 33" all terrains, I used the 8" front and 10" rear wheels. Though I couldn't rotate the tires, I had the same outside exposure of tread and the track width was pretty close to even.

The black Raider above has a body lift, therefore additional clearance at the leading edge of the front fenderwell near the bumper.
