The three different Tacoma wheels I've had my hands on were 4.5" backspace for the steel 15" wheels, 4.5" for the 15" alloys, and 4.75" for the 16" alloys. There are 16" steel wheels, too, but they have not passed through my yard yet. Bolt circle is the same and the hub center will go over the Montero hub in all observed cases.
That set of Tacoma wheels on Sacramento CL, the ones I think you're asking about, would go right on your Monty...but I'd offer less due to some uneven wear on the tires and less than advertised tread amount...looks more like 30-50% tread remaining.

I just offered him 350, we'll see. Im not really in a hurry but I think thats a good find, there is a lot of life left on those tires and the rims are ok looking alloys. They are the 15" alloys, 7" wide.

I'm running 10's with 35's, but I have fabbed bumpers. That took out the major obstacle. Then a body lift with fender flares completed the job. Working off my phone, but you can see it on my homepage. My Raider came with Toyota rims. Like Russell said, no clearance issues with the hubs. A little paint, and some Pep Boys Dodge stickers to cover the 'yota emblem on the back wheelsb and I had some "custom" wheels. Plus a 31" or 33" is a lot easier to carry.

another quick question - do stock tacoma wheels have the same lug pattern as a montero? they're 6 lug but I'm not sure about the spacing.
thanks
matt I'm running a set of Tacoma 16x7 steelies with 265/70 Sumitomo ATs (see my sig pics), and everything fits and clears fine, nothing rubs at all, no need for any kind of lift either. I would imagine wheels that are 10" wide are going to cause all kinds of clearance and rubbing issues, as has already been mentioned...

Thanks for the feedback fella's, I found a great deal on CL - 31"X10.5X15 All terrains w/ about 50-60 % tread left on 91 Land Cruiser alloys...For only $150! I was super stoked, considering I had offered twice that to someone else for pretty much the same thing. I am happy with my decision, the truck would look a little meaner with some 33's but this is my dd and I believe I'll be able to get almost anywhere with my Monty now. I went camping/wheeling up at salt springs in El Dorado National forest, and had a blast, here are some pics with the new shoes: ![[Linked Image]](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/locseti/Adventures%20with%20Monty/IMG_4251.jpg) nice and clean, much better than stock! ![[Linked Image]](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/locseti/Adventures%20with%20Monty/IMG_4254.jpg) got a little muddy ![[Linked Image]](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/locseti/Adventures%20with%20Monty/IMG_4276.jpg) hitting the trail ![[Linked Image]](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/locseti/Adventures%20with%20Monty/IMG_4279.jpg) Gotta love NorCal ![[Linked Image]](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/locseti/Adventures%20with%20Monty/IMG_4259.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/locseti/Adventures%20with%20Monty/IMG_4221.jpg) making room for monty. I was wondering if there is a thread to post pics/videos from the trail or something similar, i would like to look through a thread like that. Matt

What is the magic number for good backspacing for 10" wide wheels that does not cause rubbing issues? Nice wheels yall have. I have always liked the turbine wheels.

There were a couple guys in my camp with tacomas, but they were weak, I ended up going out with a power wagon with like a 10" lift, a couple cherokees that were decked out and a newer dodge with an insane lift and the biggest shocks i had ever seen. it was a flatbed and you could see on the bed where he had attached the shocks, it was crazy. I did get stuck in a deep snowbank when i first got up there, i tried to dig it out, only one shovel so my buddy walked to the road and came back with an f 350 who pulled me right out. I have pics but they are on my buddys camera, these last pics were from my phone, ill post the other pics when i get his camera. here is a pic of me and the power wagon: ![[Linked Image]](http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/locseti/Adventures%20with%20Monty/IMG_4261.jpg)

Matt, before you bend the rear bumper, you should give it to me. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
...and that looks like a Chrysler-era Grand Wagoneer. Power Wagon is a Dodge truck of various eras.

woops i dont know what i was thinking, ya it was a jeep grand wagoneer. And I'm not gonna bend the bumper! Those rubber ends are like that, it looks like they are attached correctly and both sides look like that, I don't now why.
