One solution is to get a flywheel, disk and pressure plate from a 88-89 Starion. It has more clamping force and more surface area. The extra surface area helps reduce temps when your slipping it ( more surface area, less heat absorbed per sg in, more area to dissipate heat).

It's a little stiffer, but not too bad.
