The thought of this being half the price by using a non Flexlite fan has caught my interest. If I do go this route, what will I need? Fan, Variable speed controller (is this from Flexlite?) and an on/off switch? If going with the volvo, which model/year? I had never looked at anything besides flexlite so this sounds really interesting. edit - Is this what I would need ( http://www.go-part.com/9495-ford-taurus-radiator-cooling-fan-assembly-p-10680.html)? Would I use the shroud?
