I run a deep cycle group 27 marine battery in my Montero from Costco and many of my friends do also. You have the best of both worlds, starting and deep cycle, to run that inverter you'll be getting. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That's not always true. I rigged boats for years and always put in Interstate's deep cycle marine batteries to start it's engine. We would use a group 27 if the owner wanted to run his electronic with the engine off, otherwise just a standard marine deep cycle would be installed. They both have the cranking power needed.
